I remember when trying to pull some shit meant whatever happened to you was your fault. The idea that you can't defend yourself with a gun against someone using their fists on YOU is for the birds. It's basically saying to everyone "If the other guy is bigger, you just have to take it." There's a reason the Colt's called the Equalizer. And if you're physically attacked for no reason, you can't be expected to call your lawyer or be thinking straight. All bets are off once somebody lays hands on you. PERIOD. Whatever happens to them is something they asked for. Screw that "proportionality" crap. A trained law-enforcement officer has a higher standard than an ordinary citizen. That's one thing. But a civilian minding their own business and being attacked violently? The thug gets what the thug gets, and may he survive it, but if he doesn't, it's HIS fault, not his victim's. I'm sick of this hair-splitting on what SHOULD be clear-cut self-defense.

@MrGchiasson The way the criminal justice system is run in cities like Seattle, you're going to start seeing vigilance committees who will NOT call the cops. People are getting on their last nerve. The PURPOSE of law enforcement and criminal courts is mostly so that people DON'T take justice into their own hands. If the people don't think they're getting justice from vested authorities, they WILL start taking justice into their own hands.

@Apparently_No If the carjacker were white, his picture would already be up on the t.v.

@cristineconnell7803 Stealing a horse could mean life or death for the person whose life depended on that horse. Death sentence for stealing a car is pretty extreme.

@brianholloway6205 LOL! How about start enforcing laws protecting persons and property? How about setting bail for violent criminals at something more than a token amount? How about prosecuting rioters and looters? How about going after Antifa when they attack any gathering of which they don't approve?

@jessjess1724 Exactly.

@brianholloway6205 How can you be this ill-informed about your own city?

@aks8914 Insurance rates will go through the roof, honest people will pay more, and only politicians and crooks will benefit. But I'm being redundant.
