  1. Yes. Bleaching is a big deal in paper products, too. One of the reasons paper plants are so nasty is so paper towels, facial and bathroom tissue will maintain perfect whiteness on shelves, indefinitely. Makes inventory management much easier, but I'd buy yellow paper all day, if it were environmentally friendlier, as would most people, if made aware.

  2.  @sendthis9480  Petro-plastics are very cheap to make for packaging. But for ME as a consumer, I'd rather pay a few cents more for something more sustainable and biodegradable.
