  1. A number of blacks rightly despise "gentrifying liberal hipsters" and unconsciously arrogant liberal do-gooders. They live in a world in which real people don't really operate. It's not a skin color thing. Larry Bird and Magic Johnson were from different-colored versions of the same exact thing. Same values. Not rich. Brothers and sisters. Hard-working parents. But the hipster types tend to be brought up in bubbles, where most of the tough shit is made-up drama, when regular folks face REAL drama, every day, and Momma ain't got TIME for the vapors or neurosis. Real folks, Momma's gotta get up and do the daily grind or the world that depends on her falls apart.
