  1. Yeah. I think people are sick and tired of "access media" of all kinds. People who get free gear and then tell everyone how great it is, shilling for some company. Much better to go your own way and earn the support of viewers.

  2. I used to know an old guy who traveled up and down the East coast. He'd fly out there from Idaho, and instead of renting a car, he just looked for the cheapest piece of crap he could find in the local paper. He'd stick a new battery in it, maybe some new brakes, and then just abandon the car at the airport when he was done with it. He'd pay cash for everything and not bother with getting the official title. Said he'd been doing it for years, and it was way cheaper than renting a car the "proper" way.
