  1. What makes you illiberal, Jimmy (and George) is your deluded belief that big government is a good idea, and that all we need to do is somehow find saintly geniuses to run it. This is why you progressives are "stuck on the wheel." You feed the dragon and then complain about getting burned all the time. You even say "Feed the dragon MORE. The problem is you didn't feed it ENOUGH." Meanwhile, your country is bankrupt and your great-grandchildren won't be able to pay off the debt your feel-good policies created on the domestic front. I'm with you on the liberty part and the war & peace front, but you still haven't figured out that you can't have liberty and at the same time have the government be your nanny. All the infringements on our liberties during COVID were the flip side of "Take care of me, Daddy." When you're cared for by Daddy, you have the rights and authority of a child. "Why do I always bleed when I cut off a finger? Let's try cutting off another finger. See if that works. Nope. Didn't work. Let's lop off another finger. Still bleeding. Bleeding worse. I guess we'll have to amputate at the wrist." You've made government your Daddy and now you wonder why we spin from one crisis to the next, with no end in sight, dwindling prosperity, and more hunger fore government programs than ever before in history.
