Takei shows the true feelings of progressives, when you scratch their pious façade.

At the time, there were many thousands of unassimilated Japanese with divided loyalties in the USA. It was sort of a thing. Most were just Americans. Same with recent immigrants from Germany. We didn't know any better at the time.

@Zodroo_Tint They already do. They all push Big Pharma medicines and pretend other cures don't exist.

This is why nationalized health care is such a huge mistake.

Bullying gets worse the more they do to end it. In my school, we KIDS took care of the bullies.

@Zodroo_Tint The high you get from being on stage is hard to match. Realizing you're alone in your head in a crowd is something introspective people have to deal with. When Robin wasn't the center of attention, he really struggled. His hero, Jonathan Winters, struggled with depression his whole life. He painted, wrote poetry and got a therapist. I think Williams did a lot of coke.

It's because politicians and their appointees and the people who bought OFF the politicians are running health care, now.

I always thought he was a low-information socialist turd masquerading as a high-minded intellectual. Still do.

@justsmiless203 Do you realize that even having this conversation implies giving ovr health and health-care decisions to government bureaucrats? The Republicans raised a legitimate point. Exclude one group for risky behavior, then you must exclude all groups who engage in risky behavior, or you're a hypocrite. You're trying to score political points rather than engage in logical argument. MY bottom line is that the state should not be the rationer of health care. That's the problem with "liberal" thinking. You think that strangers in an ivory tower should have all the authority and responsibility, and we should be children who are rewarded or punished, according to THEIR lights. When was the last time you held a fund-raiser for the local hospital? For a new x-ray machine or more beds, or a fund for the indigent to receive health care? I'm guessing NEVER. But you think that the government's going to swoop in and do what the people lack the will to do, themselves. I'd buy the liberal bullshit if I saw liberals out there raising money and giving to charity and just fucking HELPING people, but all I see are people who dream up schemes for how to spend OTHER people's money on things they deem to be important enough to use FORCE to obtain. It all falls apart when you use force. And if 50 percent plus 1 of the people REALLY wanted to help as much as they PRETEND, then we wouldn't NEED government programs to help the poor and the helpless. That's how I know that you're a hypocritical virtue-signaler. You're probably too un-self-aware to realize this and will be offended. Tough shit.

@marshallhuffer4713 You musta slept through history class. No. Scratch that. I also learned about the camps outside of school. Probably in the World at War series, which Dad made me watch when I was 7, all the way through to the liberation of Auschwitz. 7-year-olds have a hard time distinguishing between history documentaries and realtime, so I was fucking terrified of Hitler until the last few episodes.

According to liberal rules, if one race is disproportionately affected, for WHATEVER REASON, it's RACISM. Therefore, Georgie boy is racist against blacks and should be canceled by his own fucked-up followers.

How hard they push or not push, the facts as I understand them, make me more afraid of the jab than the virus, which is VERY treatable, with time-tested, off-the-shelf medicines administered by qualified clinicians. That's why they won't let doctors who've had over 99.9% success in treating the coof say anything on YouTube or any other Big Tech or Legacy Media outlet.

@TrentDan Blacks DO dominate basketball. I'm sending a diversity officer over to the NBA to lodge a complaint.

Yup. He was the coolest guy on Star Trek. What a waste.

@TheDodgerOf You'd be surprised at how many non-specialists can put things together. The thing about relying on experts is when only one set of experts is allowed any kind of platform while all others are deplatformed. And it's always the ones getting government money and towing the government propaganda line that are giving the biggest platform, while anybody with any kind of different opinion is effectively silenced. There was never any debate by the experts. Just the ones on the government payroll steamrolling all others, right or wrong. You don't have to be a medical expert to know we're being told a very one-sided and self-interested version of the "facts" by a very small, very powerful clique, and all others be damned. It's the same way with climate science. Just because I believe in climate change doesn't mean I think any of the policy proposals by the "The sky is falling!" crowd make any sense. In fac, the agendas of the "You must get the jab" crowd and the "World is ending due to CO2 emissions!" crowd are IDENTICAL.

@dertythegrower Trump didn't make him crazy. Trump revealed the crazy.

Glad I'm not the only one who sees it. You want something to become costly and scarce, just put the government in charge of providing it. You want it abundant and inexpensive? Get the government OUT of it.
1
@Mr_Smith618 This is why slave rebellions never turn out well. They replicate the same patterns of oppression because they want payback. They're not trying to right wrongs. They're trying to PUNISH. And who can blame them? Nevertheless, the only revolution that "traded-up" to something BETTER was spearheaded by the middle class. It was the American Revolution.
1
What you've done to the Star Trek legacy is unforgivable, "Sir" Patrick. GTFOH.
1
@Shiirow Government creates nothing. It only knows how to destroy.
1
@colleen4ever Don't blame the unvaccinated. They're not the ones mandating you wear a mask, and if you're vaccinated they're no more threat to you than the vaccinated, and probably LESS. You don't even KNOW the long-term effects of the jab. You CAN'T know. But those who've worked with these mRNA "treatments" will tell you that there are serious side-effects related to blood clots, but those experts are censored from this and all other platforms that low-information sheeple like you rely on.
1
This is the problem with socialized/single-payer health care. When supplies run short, there will be broad support to deny fat people, alcoholics, or smokers any health care. And the "compassionate" liberals will lead the charge to deny services to those who do not conform. I think you should be as fat as you want, and pay your own consequences. I think you should smoke all you want and pay your own consequences. Fat people cost a lot more in health care than smokers. Smokers work their whole lives and die relatively young. Perfect for "the system." Should be praised. They even pay extra taxes.
1
@user-ef4gf7rr9r It's the censorship that's the scary part. That and the MILLIONS of people who are getting ONLY censored information and don't even realize it.
1
@Kilthan2050 Yes. I was PISSED when they announced "15 days to flatten the curve." I knew it wasn't going to end well, and that they had no idea what they were doing.
1
He's always been a degenerate socialist.

@Zodroo_Tint I never had cavities until I discovered sweets. Even when we got the occasional Kool-Aid at home, Mom used half the sugar.

Two generations or more, ago, they were Puritanical Christians. Now, with God eliminated from public discourse, they're godless Puritans, but in all respects, the exact same kind of human being. Not too bright. Just bright enough to jump on whatever bandwagon appears to have captured the imagination, and scornful of all who choose to walk their own path.
1
Yes. George is very old.
1
@ravenzyblack Only Republicans never talked about internment camps.
1
@TheDodgerOf You're being willfully obtuse. Black and brown people are by far the least vaccinated, right now. So when he said "Make them wait," he was talking mostly about black and brown people. So yes. His tweet was demonstrably racist, under rules by which he and other libtards insist everyone else operate. But like all libtards, it's "Rules for thee and not for me."
1
@00pugsly48 So you're a member of the vaccine cult. Makes the world easier to (mis)understand, doesn't it?
1
@unseenstalkr Exactly! Every person who's ever said "I'm sensitive" was a self-centered and INsensitive piece of shit.
1
@00pugsly48 Wanting and DOING are two very different things, especially in this context. Wanting coupled with ignorance is Hell on Earth. Maybe the issue goes deeper than your simplistic, black-and-white version that's served up to you by a moribund and increasingly malign establishment.
1
Health care is only for those who conform to George's very narrow beliefs and behaviors.
1
@RS-ls7mm Rights exist, regardless. That doesn't mean evil people can't deny them to others.
