Christmas time will be my time to truly explore alternatives to YouTube. it's as malign as all the others, especially if you aren't well-educated enough to seek alternatives to the corporate and Demokkkrat messaging it pushes, the DISINFORMATION and MISINFORMATION it pushes. It's trying to become just like corporate cable t.v. and make sure anybody who's asking good questions is de-platformed and/or removed and/or shadow-banned. There may always be a place for YouTube, if you're looking for DIY stuff. But just about anything political, historical, or in the slightest bit controversial (i.e., that threatens woke narratives) is swept under the rug or banned, outright.
