@Ulvetann Depends on the cult: Some say law of 3's for good deeds and law of 7's for bad deeds. Some have a law of 10's for bad deeds, such as you describe.

@adamnunya3924 Often, the people building up the bad karma are already tortured souls, long before the "real world" gives them their karmic comeuppance. Most assholes live their whole lives without any visible sign of karma getting them. But if you could see into their souls, you would see that they spent their whole lives creating misery because they spent their whole lives feeling empty and miserable, inside. I don't despise them so much as I PITY them. Unfortunately, until they turn things around, I also have to defend myself FROM them, like a small child who picks up a loaded pistol. I don't hate the child, but I'd be a fool not to recognize the danger.

@TheUplate Ever heard of "confirmation bias?" If you only hear from people you agree with, you put yourself in an echo-chamber cage, voluntarily. You should read some of MY comments on Jimmy Dore's channel, chastising progressives for their unseemly love of the state they claim to despise.

@TheUplate It's a mixed bag. As a mathematician/scientist who's read far and wide on history, I've got some tools of discernment. But my GREATEST tool is my ability/willingness to accept that not everything HAS a clear answer, no matter HOW deep you dig, and I can probably dig deeper than most. (I'm also more humble than most. That's what everyone tells me. They're amazed at my humble modesty, given how awesomely great I am. (totally joking)) Being intellectually honest can put you at a real disadvantage with unhinged zealots, who are CERTAIN they are right. For instance, I don't - and probably can't - know enough about the Vacks to make an informed decision. Common sense tells me it's experimental, and it's wiser to wait. Intuition tells me the wrong people are pushing it WAY too hard for it to be trusted. They're the same people who pushed conspiracy theories in MSM for years. I have no reason to trust them, now. Seeing them in league with the DNC's puppet in the Oval Office is frankly horrifying.

@TheUplate Due diligence? Maybe more curiosity + an excess of leisure time to indulge it. I always feel a little guilty, because I'm always learning and not doing anything visibly constructive.

I never bought Disney+ because of all the crap they pulled long before the Gina Carano event.
