I decided not to pay for Captain Marvel after Brie Larson's hate for people like me was made quite clear, thank you very much. I was planning on watching Black Widow, until Scarlet Johansen made it clear she didn't want my business. I'm the kind of guy who believes "'no' means 'no.'" My scorn for woke movie-making is also a factor. If I'd heard better reviews from reviewers I trust, I might've broken down. But the older I get, the harder it gets to suspend my disbelief, when I watch actors whom I despise. "Cape stuff" isn't out of style. Woke stuff is out of style.
