  4. Had my knocks, too. In a wheelchair, now, but hopefully only temporarily. I NEVER wanted special treatment or excuses. Took what I had (brain and 2 hands) and made myself a career.

  5. The only people I REALLY feel sorry for are the mentally disabled, which is to say, I pity all Democrats. It doesn't matter what your situation is as much as it matters how you deal with it. Do you feel sorry for yourself? Whenever I started feeling even a LITTLE sorry for myself, as a kid, I reminded myself that there are people who can't THINK, and that would be far worse than being handicapped, physically.
