@anitagolke1678 Many of us are working to get off the grid.

Government needs to leave the USA alone! THAT is the source of 90% of our problems, right now.

The elites become even MORE elite just by dragging all the rest of us down.

Or the shape-shifting alien on Star Trek. Or Voldemort.

They could live a lot cleaner and produce less CO2 if we sent them propane or natural gas to cook and heat with.

If the House wanted, they could end all this BS by refusing to fund these boondoggles. The Republicans control the House. They don't believe any of their rhetoric.

There are hearings going on all over the place at the same time. Our government is too big and sprawling. Nobody understands everything it's up to. That's why it needs to be cut in half and half again. Then halve it again. They meddle in everything and can do justice to nothing. It's ALL massive federal over-reach.

Climate change IS an opportunity for grifters like Kerry.

People who know nothing and therefore are sure they know everything.

@MichaelMikeBurns-p3s I've been watching Congress since the late '70s. Entitlement spending is Uni-Party and has grown faster than defense spending. Both parties are responsible, but Democrats drove entitlement spending. Then Republicans got on board because it won votes. Democrats got on board with defense spending, because it got donations.

@brmadden895 No. He's saying that to panic over climate you have to re-write climate history. Lots of fraud and misrepresenting to scare people. Meanwhile, all these clowns live in huge mansions on the beach, and drive around in SUV convoys and fly around the world. Each has the carbon footprint of a small city. Each tells us what WE must give up while they give up NOTHING and enrich themselves by investing in things they're forcing us to buy. 1978 was the coldest year in the 20th Century. Explain away the cooling from the 1930s to 1978. Then explain why all the climate history stops at 1978. Genius. Explain why the polar ice caps are the same as they were years ago. We were supposed to be ice free by 2005. Then 2012. Then 2020. Still waiting. The models suck. But they're great for political narratives. In another 20 years, they'll 'discover' that burning fossil fuels saved the planet from dying due to lack of CO2. Nature locks up CO2. 2 continental USA's worth of leaf area added to the planet in the last 20 or 30 years. Sub-Saharan Africa is greening up. Turns out, CO2 is plant food and a very very weak greenhouse gas.

I agree that consumers want cleaner, more durable products. Let the market take over. But that's not what these crusaders want. They want to use force and drive us all into poverty because they're all authoritarians, whose urge to save the world is actually the urge to rule. EVs? Good. For some applications. But don't ram them down people's throats. So far, the only thing we've gained by government green policies is to drive manufacturing to countries who pollute much more for the same products than we do. China and India are building coal plants for their electricity. Most of the charging stations in the USA run off coal/oil/natural gas generation plants. It's all just a massive grift to redistribute wealth upward. None of this crap is good for the common people.
