  1. The more things they run top-down, the more shortages there will be. I thought Hitler proved this with coal, rail transport and bread, before the war, already! Nazi mismanagement of all three had them borrowing money to buy their needs on credit. They HAD to go to war to steal that stuff, because government had no clue about the industries they nationalized.
