I don't think there's any place for any censorship, as long as it's restricted to an adult audience, especially on "platforms," which should be more like the phone company than like legacy t.v. networks, which the government has had sewn up since they were invented. The government's trying to sew up social media in the exact same way. Follow The Message or be kicked to the curb, de-monetized and shadow-banned.

@JuiciferPandoraRex Probably just a step ahead of the algorithm's understanding. I always want the un-cut version. Let it all hang out.

@fluidthought42 It's a blending of factors. Know that when you get up above 10,000 or 50,000 subscribers, they're starting to pay attention to you. Another factor is how many people are triggered. Lefties are usually going to complain first and loudest. Righties are usually "Well, I don't like what they're saying, but I ain't gonna tattle."

#1 Does it challenge establishment narratives? Demonetized. #2 Did a bunch of snowflakes complain to their YT masters about it? Demonetized. If you're doing anything worthwhile, YouTube's likely to demonetize it. Just like Spike Lee said about crowd funding, the idea is to appeal to your audience for direct support. My favorite channels are demonetized, nor do they spam the audience for support. There's just a collection plate down in the description, and people seeing there's no other support, put a buck or 5 bucks in the bucket. Build an audience of 50,000-plus and that's a nice pile of money.
