  1. I have over 200,000 miles on my 3.0 L 3VZ. They're not strong engines, especially since Toyota canceled the power improvements by building a much heavier truck than what came before the first V6's in the late '80s/early '90s. Mine's a '93, and still going strong. It's better than my '84 Toy or my '87 Nissan for power, but not that much more. For the '93, the 3.4 L is probably the perfect power plant. That's what I'll do if the 3.0 L ever dies. But it shows no signs of weakening. I did have to put a new voltage regulator and fuel pump in it, the latter because I let it sit too long and didn't remember to start it and run it every week, while I drove my 2012 around.
