It's the fact that it's all top-down, unlike in a free country, with free markets, where people maintain high standards without being told or watch-dogged, because return customers are the only way to compete. It's not government edicts that keep capitalist shelves full. It's companies competing for market share making things as good and as inexpensive as possible.
