  3.  @OwlofHorus  If someone instigates violence against you, they get what they get. Nobody out there is taking years of classes teaching exactly how to fight back in a proportionate way. You're talking like a bully enabler. Tormenting someone and then crying because they hit you too hard.

  4. @ The argument used to be "Marijuana is a gateway drug." It was a true argument, not because smoking weed makes you yearn for cocaine, but because illegal weed puts you in contact with the illegal drug trade, and the guy who gets you weed can also hook you up with harder drugs. Legalizing weed cuts the drug lords out of the picture. Drug lords and the establishment don't want that. They want a never-ending war on drugs that justifies all kinds of unconstitutional surveillances, searches, and don't forget the seizures that give the FBI and other law enforcement agencies free sports cars, planes, and yachts.

  5. I think if you come up on someone, get in their face, and don't ALLOW them to back off, but keep on coming, all bets are off. If you HIT someone, all bets are off. There's no such thing as "reasonable" force, when it comes to defending yourself. The other person was unreasonable. You can't expect a person being aggressed-against like that to use "proportional" force or anything else. You let the genie out of the bottle.
