  1. The sad thing is that the whole anthropogenic warming thru CO2 emissions isn't really representative of history. The main effect of added CO2, which has mostly been caused over time BY warming (rather than the current tail-wagging-the-dog theory), is increased plant growth. Bumping CO2 levels in the atmosphere might be the one GOOD thing about all the shit we dump into the atmosphere! I've never heard this take on the Paris Accords, though I did read enough of the varying levels of commitment from the various countries to know something was up, when I read the U.S.'s commitment. It was like we were to give up everything and everyone else give up nothing.

  2. Yes. The hockey-stick was manufactured and ALL IPCC predictions have been WAY over what was actually measured. But they still insist! I think that for all we know, CO2 emissions are keeping us from a much worse cooling and desert-ification of more lands. Instead, the higher CO2 in the air seems to be good for plants! Nature has many buffering agents, in addition to variable solar emissions over time. Historically, warming trends have been generally beneficial. Cool and dry has usually meant war and famine (or famine and war).
