  1. If Congress EVER did its job correctly, it would be a part-time job, and sessions would last maybe a month or two. A handful of hearings to oversee a MUCH SMALLER federal government. But the more they legislate, the more they're obliged to legislate, and the more difficult REAL OVERSIGHT becomes. The federal government is mission creep on steroids, and it all starts with bureaucrat solutions to the human condition, when the human condition is not even a problem to be solved, and if it is a problem, the last people you should entrust with a solution are the people in government.

But here's how it works in the USA: If you DON'T lobby and donate to Congressional campaigns and generally enrich and empower Congress, then Congress will go after you. Bill Gates wasn't political until Congress went after him, threatening to break up his company. Then he got VERY political, bending the government, itself, to his will, when originally, he wanted nothing to do with politics. But once he took an interest and started spreading money around, Congress lost all interest in going after Microsoft, and became Microsoft's best friend.

  6.  @paulholmes1303  LOTS of people fell through the cracks and continue to fall through the cracks. Obama just came up with a different set of cracks for WORKING people to fall through, and made medical care even MORE expensive for everybody who had any money at all. If you're TOTALLY worthless and do NO work, Obama Care is for YOU.
