  1. If Israel can't live at peace with its neighbors, I don't see how it can survive. Younger generations in the USA are not indoctrinated in Catholicism/Protestantism to nearly the same degree, and nearly all older generations in the USA are indoctrinated in Christianity, where we learned that it was a GOOD thing to bring about the 2nd Coming of Christ, and the creation of the state of Israel is part of the prophecy, and all American preachers of most denominations preached support of the state of Israel as part of being a good Christian. I always wondered about that. I sure never wanted to hurry the Apocalypse! Now, of course, I see the means used to create and preserve it as not being what Jesus would have wanted, nor the God of the Old Testament.
