Not into the Zionist Project. It's brought nothing but war and misery. It wasn't our place to create a new state of Israel in the first place. It took violence to create and requires violence and endless sums of money to preserve. Who were we to backstop the carving-out of a whole new nation, without consulting the people who lived there, already? Not a fan of Islam, but at the same time, I'm not a fan of forever war, abroad, and that's what our unquestioning loyalty to Israel entails. The USA needs to be strong AND it needs to keep its hands to itself and its taxpayers' money needs to stay in the taxpayers' pockets, not to fund endless war and a cycle of escalating atrocities. The ethnic conflicts in the Middle East are none of our damn business.
