  1. This has a lot to do with why liberals assume the average person is stupid, helpless and dishonest. That's why they're OK with all kinds of government programs and why they go along with authoritarian measures, like COVID lock-downs. Sadly, that assumption about your fellow humans results in your fellow humans being stupid, helpless and dishonest.
