  2. I think it's fine if a company wants to black-box everything. If the product's super-durable and you get decent trade-in for the "busted" one, that can work. I'd just rather it be the way it is, now, with guys like Louis Rossman pointing out how it's not good for customers, and for customers to vote with their wallets, so that Apple suffers for their closed-fisted business model. I'm not planning on any future apple products.
