  1. Beatin' the bushes for something better always sucks. If you're unemployed, your general situation sucks. If you're employed, you're too tired to beat the bushes at the end of the day, so your situation isn't terrible, but you're stuck. I've been brought to my knees many times throughout my life, and those toughest times strip life to its essentials, which is very good for the character, and a source of joy later in life, when things are better! All I did was keep my eye on the main prize and grind. OK. This sucks. What's the next thing I should do to improve my situation? Set my leg. Make a pressure bandage out of my shirt. Call for help.
