It's the perfect law. They can choose to prosecute anyone they wish, and they will start with people they don't like. This is ideal for the establishment, really.

SHE should take responsibility.

They don't care. They never worked for the people.

@Taz Devil : It takes all kinds. I think the general rule is it doesn't matter their style, spelling or grammar, if their main thrust is decipherable without too much waste of time. Rather than show scorn for lesser attempts, heap praise and adulation on those who are true wordsmiths, such as I. bows head, modestly

It's weird how the urban globalists push for policies that turn the cities they inhabit into crime-infested shit-holes. I guess the money and security are so good, they just can't help themselves. Some of 'em may even think they're doing the right thing, and see their riches and status as God's way of telling them they're with the angels.

Doctor vs Master were always great episodes. I had no idea James Dreyfuss got cancelled for refusing to cancel JK Rowling. What is it about "Dreyfuss"s that makes them think for themselves? Richard Dreyfuss is kind of the same way. He was insufferably bleeding-heart leftist in his youth, and now he's a true, classical liberal, near as I can tell.

DIVERSITY IS OUR STRENGTH! LAY DOWN AND TAKE IT!

Did it occur to you that the root problem is the government itself is too strong?

Not only should he not have sent the free campaign workers, he should have picked the right side, or actually done some good with those workers. Democrats out-spent Republicans 3-to-1, got outside help from UK, and STILL LOST. I love it.

Free speech is not a feature of democracy. Democracy is where 2 wolves and a sheep vote on the dinner menu. Free speech is a custom, but it's not a right. Not unless you live in the USA, where it's enshrined in the constitution. In the USA, Tommy Robinson could not be thrown in jail for reporting on a court case on the steps of the court-house. They're not rights if the government can decide to take them away.

ron dadoo : Let me explain: Christianity is evil. Islam is the religion of peace. You must hate peace and be a racist if you criticize Islam. But criticizing Christianity is only right.

Not a good ending. Don't cut the guy off in such a condescending way.

Pronouns are the new $hibboleth.

The left refused accept the result of the referendum in UK. The left refused to accept the election in the US. Like the lady said, I, as a liberty-minded guy, have seen LOTS of elections go against my 'druthers. But I never threw a hissy fit, let alone a 3 1/2 - year hissy fit.

Europe's "left-right" dichotomy is not a dichotomy. It's a situation in which different groups of socialists argue over who will get to have too much power.

Politics > science. We see this all over, not just in transgender ideology. Our institutions have lost their way.

@theydontlikeitupem.4725 : More a paraphrase than a quote. But I'm with you.

@bicyclemanNL : I bet there are enough overlanders in the Australian populace, you could have vulnerable areas on total lockdown, and they'd have fun doing it.

They're not concerned with misinformation. They're upset with anyone questioning THEIR misinformation.

Yes. By the time the intersectionalists are done with their oppression hierarchies, society will be atomized down to the individual, which will mean that the latest, greatest, postmodernist theories will have caught up to the pre-Enlightenment. IOW, they'll set us back centuries if they get their way. And then we'll have to re-discover Hobbes and Locke and start all over again. They will catch up to the rest of us, eventually. The question is how many of us they'll kill off learning the lessons of history by rejecting history.

The left started out anti-establishment. Then the left got hijacked by socialism, and became pro-establishment, and couldn't centralize the power (and abuse that power) quickly enough. The only TRUE lefties are the liberty-and-limited-government crowd. The rest are just arguing over how best to administer tyranny and who gets to be the tyrant for the coming cycle. We're stuck on a wheel between globalists and nationalists, and we locals always take it in the shorts.

Socialism is authoritarian. Not liberal. Not "left." It's just a new brand name for Divine Right of Kings. "I will take care of you. You will obey." It's not "new" or "forward-thinking." It's the same old aristocratic forms re-emerging under new labels and new management. It's regressive. True liberals understand that liberty and limited government go hand in hand. Fake, modern liberals make all the same kinds of arguments that the old monarchists made, when uppity commoners said "We're not going to stand for this any longer."

It was hot in the USA in the 1930s and it cooled from there until the late 1970s. In the mid-1970s, the same people fear-mongering about global warming, now, were fear-mongering about the impending Ice Age. No coincidence, their solutions were pretty much the same: Give the government more power and transfer more wealth to a handful of rich men and the politicians they own.

A step in the right direction. Now to reform NHS or even - gasp - go back to free market with status conferred on charitable contributions, like we did in the old days when everybody was really poor and the government did nothing. We'd be farther along in health care if we had stuck to that, and evolved it, organically, instead of government-bureaucratically.

We need this in the USA, too. Intimidation and de-platforming of different viewpoints by militant students on campus and militant activists off campus needs to end. This stuff comes FROM the elite universities, which are the LAST place that should suppress free and open conversation.

I try to buy American, but if UK BREXITs, I will be adding British textiles and electronics to my list.

It does harm to the kinds of people who aspire to be Kardashians. It does harm to people who are vulnerable to the mind virus. It's like a eugenics program, weeding out people who don't know how to think.

@deanmartin6052 Actually, there WERE problems playing with girls in sport. They really wanted to play with the boys, but they couldn't compete, so we got in trouble for saying "We'd rather not" and we got in trouble for holding the girls to the same standards as we held each other to. Only they couldn't score points or even get on base (softball), so the girls wanted to make a whole new game, and if we didn't change baseball rules for them, we got in trouble. So we boys would sneak off to play where the party-crashers wouldn't find us. Meet up at the fishing hole. Meet up at the hideout. Heh.
