The hairlessness doesn't allow sweat to roll off our bodies taking the heat with it. That's not the function of sweat. It's the EVAPORATION that cools our bodies. Latent heat of vaporization. We can out-last any critter on the savannah during the heat of the day, because our hairless skins give us the best cooling system in the animal kingdom. Since that adaptation, there's been no evolutionary reason to have more or less hair, and so "furry humans" didn't evolve after we first started being hunters on the savannah. Humans who prospered in Northern climes didn't survive because they had more hair, but because they were good enough killers to cover themselves with the furs of their kills.
