  14. The Education Establishment despises the woman, so maybe she's on the right track. As a professor, all that's come down from the powers that be has been to keep education inefficient and lower the standards. It's a constant battle, with half of my colleagues WANTING lower standards so more of their students will "succeed." "Don't be so hard on them." "This is way easier than my professors were on me." "Progress" in education is a process of eliminating difficult topics from the curriculum. These kids aren't dumber than we were. They respond to challenge and are grateful for the challenge, when they see all their big mind muscles in the mirror, and they succeed AFTER they "get past" me.

I've been with him on just about all the issues, except big spending. And I LOVE that he's seen in the beltway as a coarse peasant. That's how American leaders SHOULD seem to the rest of the world, and any Americans that are clutching their pearls over how barbaric he is are not true Americans.

Half the country just automatically believes the OPPOSITE of whatever CNN, ABC and the rest are pushing. What he (and the media) didn't realize is that as soon as the restraints were removed, they showed their true nature and lost the faith and trust of a huge majority of the American people. We're seeing mass psychopathy. Individual psychopaths have to move on, after the people around them catch on. They're wildly successful at first, with honest people confirming their "People are stupid" beliefs, but eventually, their schtick wears out, and they gotta get outta town and find new victims. But these assholes have victimized an entire nation. They can't just pick up and move to another country, so they're gonna have to settle for going broke.

For 50 years (or more), they've been indirectly supporting Maoist/Leninist ideology by attacking, one by one, every Western principle, in a sort of "process of elimination take-down" of anything that is NOT Marxist. Authoritarian/totalitarian governments become infested with "climbers" and "skimmers" with no real competence, except how to navigate the Byzantine bureaucracy and enrich themselves. Eventually, the incompetence overcomes the entire structure. The cheating and skimming then percolates DOWN, becomes a way of doing business for ALL, especially with literal millennia of "This is how things get done" that aren't much different. You see billions devoted to public works, and even when there is enough money allocated, objectively, to get it done, the low bidder then subcontracts with other low bidders, who subcontract with low bidders, and by the time it actually gets to the project, itself, the last low bidder ends up having to cheat on materials, safety and worker pay. And as many as 5 levels of contractors, each of whom took a nice slice of the pie, without doing any actual work. There's no shortage of competence in the general population, but everybody knows how things work. This is why, historically, China has been called a "paper tiger." If China could only rid itself of parasitic "warlords" (now openly crimelords), it would uncork an unprecedented amount of industry and creativity. Nobody better than an average Chinese person at making more do less. Couple that with real freedom and real meritocracy, and prosperity would EXPLODE across all of Asia, as a - for the first time in history - a rising tide of ingenuity and prosperity emanating from China lifted all boats and percolated outward to surrounding nations and nations around the world. But history teaches that there was really only ONE revolution where a vibrant, independent and free middle class was harnessed to REAL principles of liberty and equality under the law. However flawed the American Experiment was, the conditions were uniquely suited for a closer approximation to a form of limited government that truly fostered a free and prosperous nation, in 1776. USA has NEVER been PERFECT, but it's ALWAYS been pretty WONDERFUL in a multitude of ways.

What's different about the last 10 or so years is that never before in OUR history was such behavior tolerated and even encouraged by people in government. If I were mayor, and Antifa violence broke out, I'd regretfully give them a few martyrs.

Choosing NOT to do business with people who treat THEIR people badly, is a wonderful way to do a small something for a better world. I think if a small difference in price is the difference between your being poor and your being prosperous, nobody's standing in your way. But if you can afford to make the more moral purchase, and you inform yourself as to what's the more moral choice, the world gets a little better than it would have been, otherwise.

Same "national security" excuse to keep Congress from obtaining documentary evidence. Slow-walking FOIA materials to Judicial Watch... These things are difficult to scry from MY perch. But I do know that GOOD counter-intel operations leave the suspects in place, and let them think they're still getting away with their crimes. And it's possible that Wray's been doing what he's been doing to keep the Deep Staters overconfident. Just hard to say. Just about anything that happened DURING Obama admin is obscured by cover-up and the passage of time. And how did they get NIXON? They got him on the cover-up, not on the break-in. And this cover-up has continued well into the Trump administration, but the number of Obama players has dwindled over time, destroying the good-old-boy network of mutual assistance and ass-covering. They couldn't LEAVE, for fear of losing hold of the levers of power, but they can't pull those levers of power, indefinitely, without the circle closing in on them. To those of us on the outside, it's been very frustrating, but imagine the erosion of cover and mutual support as Trump slowly but surely appointed his own people.

  37. When you're dealing with ideologues, they use terms that mean the opposite of what they say. For example, "gender-affirmation" is gender DENIAL. I think this is an epidemic. Puberty is frightening for females. As they change, they feel extremely awkward. Boys just grow faster and get a lot stronger in puberty. Girls wanting to escape the awkwardness of puberty get led down a path to ill health, sterility, and continued mental illness.

And the dialectic is designed to de-platform anyone who uses logic or facts to countr their claims, so they have this self-perpetuating bubble that keeps them from ever seeing the gaping flaws in their theory. They constructed a religion that poses as science. "Scientists" hundreds of years ago started with the assumption that the Earth was the center of the universe. This required cosmologists to conclude that stars and planets moved frontwards and backwards in their orbits around Earth, rather than a rotating Earth in orbit around the Sun. They called them "epicycles" and you had to be REALLY smart to use that theory to do any astronomy. And they were scornful of Galileo and Copernicus as heretical fools, who were probably working for Satan, himself.
