  2. There's so much private-public intermingling going on with most of Elon's big plans, that you're actually criticizing policy makers. Elon just jumps to the front of the line whenever there're subsidies or tax breaks. Government interventions like these are the only reasons automakers went all-in on EVs, too. Wind power? Same thing. I don't mean small projects that maybe pump some water or generate a little bit of power occasionally, but the square miles of solar panels and huge wind turbines that wouldn't be tried without taxpayer subsidies and tax incentives. Those projects destroy the environment more than what they claim to be doing for the environment.
