  3. If by "success" they mean small gains at great cost, that are quickly erased, then success has been achieved.

  4. Nobody's driving toward Moscow. The UKR incursion in the North is not going anywhere. They're not going against the best the RUS have on offer, but they're going against huge numbers, with inadequate air defense. It's still risky to fly manned missions close to the border, but Russians can afford it, if it means bagging multiple M1s.

  5. Maybe they tried to make a virtue of necessity and re-purposed forces drawn to the North, by attacking relatively soft targets in that vicinity. I don't know. But it definitely looks like a forlorn hope into the teeth of superior forces.

  6.  @tidik73  Napoleon conquered many nations with a conscript army. It's not ideal, but it's good numbers, and those who survive are great fighters.
