  1. I think it's the perfect confrontation. The hipster just got a dose of reality. They learned at least one lesson, but I doubt it moved the needle on their politics.

  2. It's a natural-enough consequence of the prevailing conditions. Ridiculous prices everywhere else, somebody wanting to start something swoops in on a depressed neighborhood at an affordable price. The hate is also understandable. For some of us, it just shows how people can get in big cities (and states) that have governed foolishly. The politics of entitlement and the unfairness that flows from it creates a kind of craziness in regular folks.

  3. LOL! The house I bought was built in 1961 and IT has the pink and green bathroom. Nice tile job. Has stood the test of time. If I ever get a woman in here, I don't expect it to last long, but batchin' it, I just care that the plumbing works, and it does. Let the NEXT owner drag the place into the 21st century. I'm just pleased it's a thick brick house, with full basement, built to keep itself pretty warm in winter and pretty cool in summer, even if the power goes out. You can always retreat to the basement as needed.
