America has systematically destroyed the economic engine that has crippled its ability to project power. It's run up its debt so high that it couldn't fight a war if it wanted to. Nations incur debt during war and the USA used to pay off such debts in peacetime. We have run up our debt in peacetime! There's no credit to be had! I'm terrified by the decisions our political "leaders" have made and might make in the near future, in their insane attempts to remain in power at all cost. As far as gold goes, I'm expecting to pay off a lot of my debts with what gold I have, in a year or two.
