  1.  @GeorgeKelmeris  Corporate greed is enabled by the state. The greediest corporations are the biggest donors. The only way out is to stop kidding yourself that the government's there to protect you from corporate greed, and get the government OUT. Then the corporations are answerable to the people, without the government shielding them from the people.

  2. I remember when minimum wage was for teenagers and people who'd lost a job and needed to work their way back up. Somehow that morphed into "I should be able to raise a family on minimum wage, with zero skills on offer." Of course, other economic meddling has made it impossible to live in the cities on many times the minimum wage, unless you're willing to share a closet with 8 other people. How did that happen? "Affordable housing." If you're a client of the government, they'll subsidize your housing. If you work for a living, just live the van life, baby.
