@jballaviator Petrodollar was real. It enabled a lot of unsound fiscal and monetary policy and deindustrialization of the USA without (most of) the American people realizing. I don't think BRICS will work as well as it's cracked up to run, as most of the members aren't as disciplined with their spending as the Russkies. I think the USA's about to take a big hit. With half the population addicted to free stuff, it will take decades (if ever) for the USA to get its house in order.
