This is being done in the name of efficiency, but what it's actually doing - if they do it right - is dismantling the regime-change machinery that was out-sourced to USAID, after the Church Commission shut down Operation Mockingbird in the 1970s. We basically got Operation Mockingbird reinstated by the Reagan Administration, by creating USAID, to operate in broad daylight, but being run from the shadows by the CIA and others in the government. Massive source of kickbacks for the Big Guy and others, but also the driving force behind the capture of Ukraine's government by taking over Ukraine's media. No dissenting voices allowed. Zelensky outlawed all the independent media in Ukraine, and now 90% of Ukraine's media is funded and directed by USAID, which is directed by the CIA and State Department. It doesn't sound like the Trump Admin is actually against USAID as a whole. This is very concerning. Cutting the obvious fat from USAID but moving it under the State Department, doesn't address the larger issue, which is nonstop destabilization and propagandizing of foreign countries. USAID is absolutely terrible, full stop. We shouldn't be obsessing over the superficial waste. We should be obsessed by the permanent government that continues to sow destruction and instability around the world as well as here at home. It's totally un-American to have such an agency meddling abroad and domestically. The manufacture of global consent by a very small number of elites must end.
