@mysterioanonymous3206 Gold has held its value for millennia. Through thick and thin. It has intrinsic value. It will have value even if the lights go out. Especially if the lights go out. If I realized a big gain in my crypto, a big chunk of that gain would go straight into gold. It won't make me any richer, but it sets a floor on how poor I can get. When people see the price of gold shooting up, it's not because of anything gold did, but something bad that happened to the currency.
