  1. Kids fresh out of college have always been this way. Usually it wears off, due to meritocracy and reasonableness in successful companies. But almost all the big companies forget where they came from, and secure future revenues by the advantages and economies of scale that were handed to them by the people who built the original brand. Budweiser set early precedents for Cold Beer. That's their main claim to fame. Their beer was average, but it was always cold. That's how they got big enough to expand. They needed the draft horses to harvest enough ice off lakes to guarantee cold beer shipped across country and KEPT cold until sold.

She's speaking to HER people, not ALL people. Everything she's saying resonates with women who took all the same collegiate indoctrination that they're SURE gives them insight and 'science' of which mere plebs are denied. The business people like it, because they believe ESG scores are good business, making easy credit more available to them. Avoiding cancellation from a small but highly motivated far left is more important to them than keeping the plebs happy. And they all congratulate themselves for re-educating the plebs.

  14. She's a product of higher education and displayed all the learned behaviors and external characteristics of what higher ed tells us the best people have and that corporate culture seeks. It's not as much about her as about the waters in which she swims. Yes, she's cringe. But she's letter-perfect for today's corporate/educated culture, and the fact is that Bud Lite was on a slow, but steady decline. I think this guy kind of misses the point. She is what she was trained to be, and there are a million people just like her in the wings just waiting their chance, all trained and indoctrinated in exactly the same way. She's not tone-deaf. She's in perfect harmony with the culture in which she was raised. Everything this Martin DeCoder decries is praiseworthy in her circles. She's not pathological. She's well-adjusted to a pathological culture.
