  2.  @VulcanLogic  You have it all upside-down. Every government intervention ends up strengthening the robber barons, who can hide behind government regulations they wrote! That's not free-market capitalism. It's crony capitalism, otherwise known as fascism. Free-market capitalism is the only thing that's improved the lot of the common person. EVERY government regulatory agency ends up doing the opposite of what it was created for. Robber barons LOVE government agencies. They only have to influence a handful of people to run roughshod over all the competition. They use regulations to raise barriers to new competitors. Your solution seems to be "We just need to socialism harder." If it weren't for the U.S. Government, Monsanto and GE would've gone out of business decades ago.
