  2. In a way, it IS the fault of white men. They created the welfare state, and the welfare state generates both black and white fatherlessness, and the crime you see in that 15-30-year-old age group is mostly fatherless sons. Before Lyndon Johnson's presidency, blacks had a lower percentage of children born out of wedlock than whites. They still had a higher poverty rate than whites, but the gap was closing, every year. Until the New Plantation was created. It sucked in a higher percentage of blacks, but it sucked in poor blacks and whites, pretty indiscriminately. And these statistics lump in mixed-race with "black."
