  2. Lack of trust is contagious. People who don't trust others don't engender trust in others. I've found that people who give the least trust are the least trustworthy. They'll even make accusations because they know what THEY would do if the situation were reversed. Nobody more worried about someone cheating than a cheater.

  3. ​ @rickyhay  Hopefully, and I think in most cases, the immaturity of a woman who would speak to her man in such a way would reveal itself before it got so far as having kids together. I'm the kind of guy who would ghost any woman who thought it was a good idea to try to manipulate me in that way, with or without kids. It's not like I'm stuck on principle. It would just shut me down towards her and make me leave. I'll discuss anything, but I won't argue, and I won't stick around to be belittled by anyone. I grew up arguing. I'm good at arguing. I hate arguing.

  4. Men are softer than women. That's why we want "Sugar and spice and everything nice" in our women. It's something to suck us in to what is actually a rather messy proposition: Raising a family. We get sucked in by the woman's outward grace and beauty. Women are harder. That's why they want big, strong, alpha males. Think about it. Is romance really for the women or is it to extract a commitment from a man?

I can totally see where a guy wouldn't be OK with his wife wanting to do that, but I can also see myself wanting to go on an all-boys trip in a similar situation with no objections from the wife (and no objections from me if my buddies want to go to a strip joint). There's an understandable double standard, due to biology, but it is definitely a double standard.

  8.  @rickyhay  I agree the guy sounds overly controlling. But remember, they're taking the woman's version of what was said. I don't think it's unreasonable to express a little hesitancy, but the way he reportedly worded it, it definitely sounded authoritarian, rather than "Try to see my side," which might be a better tack.

  10. Back in the old days, women were more moral, and waited until giving a man a couple kids before cuckolding him. Now, women cuckold their life mates before they meet them, and wonder why pickings are so slim.
