  1. I don't know the history of how Donbass region became mostly Russian. But accepting that as a given, it's hard to fault the Russians for recognizing their sovereignty in the wake of western-backed coup in 2014 and ongoing war on Donbass ever since, and the flouting of Minsk Agreement(s) by Ukraine on the advice of NATO leadership. Obviously, sanctions are backfiring, which was totally predictable, given the resource realities and the fiscal recklessness of the West.

  3. Western leadership, in league with captured media giants, is accustomed to imposing its hallucinations on the people at home. This has worked perfectly for generations, and western leaders are not at all used to being hindered by actual reality. If you have enough POWER, your lies ARE truth. Perception isn't reality, but perception shapes reality. But if perception and reality diverge too much, reality always bites. Sucks that things have to get really BAD before the truth starts asserting itself.
