@consciousgentile5141 America is increasingly crooked, largely by functional one-party rule by the Democrats. Everything wrong about America is when it departs from the principles most of its people used to believe in, like individual rights. But yeah. The more we get bribed and corrupted by CCP, the more we run things like La Cosa Nostra. There've always been robber barons in this country, almost from the start. And they've always done the most harm and gained the greatest wealth NOT by being left to compete in the free market, but by government assistance. Every agency created to protect the people from the robber barons has protected robber barons from the people. Government as the panacea is the problem. Government solutions are never solutions. All the cases of "runaway capitalism" have had at their root a law or regulation that SEEMED to benefit the people, but in the end just benefited the biggest robber barons. The FDA works for Big Pharma. The Dept of Agriculture works for Monsanto. The list goes on and on.

Huawei is blocked because CCP is crime organization.

@consciousgentile5141 I didn't say that. But I know we are much better off, here, in the USA than the average person in China, and it's not even close. We have more freedom, functionally speaking, than in China, although they're working tirelessly to turn us into another China, as we speak.

Didn't the Swedes (and/or Finns?) have deals with the Nazis to provide iron ore before and during WWII? The (un)funny thing about Nazi Germany is the autarchy (self-sufficiency) they sought was within their reach, if they hadn't nationalized key industries for the purpose of autarchy! Of course, building an enormous war machine also beggared their economy, as well, but socialism was the main reason they couldn't feed themselves or even deliver coal in winter. The ironies run deep in that failed rendition of the form of feudalism we call "socialism."

I think Putin's just trying to make hay off recent allegations that Denmark was used by USA to spy on Merkel in Germany. So big show about "We would never do anything like that." Standard propaganda coup for Russia.
