@samnelton8496 They make up the rules as they go along. It's telling that they have abandoned the term "international law." That is because they violate international law at their whim, and point to a new rule they just dreamt up.

Woodrow Wilson ran on a peace ticket. "'I'm not sending our boys to go fight overseas," or words to that effect. Then he broke that promise. All our allies could see was the defeat of Germany. Europe's been a basket case ever since, and adopted MANY of Hitler's policies (government-run education, health care and media), and they're repeating the same mistakes. They just use different words to make it seem their socialist insanity is somehow different.

Without control of the skies, conventional warfare is a losing proposition. Establishing and maintaining order AFTER winning conventional warfare requires a LOT of boots on the ground, unless the territory won is friendly to you. Even then, a small number of insurgents can defeat you in "peacetime." There's a pretty simple formula dating back decades, for how many troops per square mile are needed. We haven't seen those kinds of numbers since the end of WW II. Now, we just destroy and abandon.
