@karlk9316 Yup. I don't think this new initiative from Trump moves the needle. There needs to be a "come-to-Jesus" moment by the collective West that just isn't there. What has Russia really done to provoke all the sanctions? How does it compare to the things WE have done? I care about human progress and I worry because our leaders seem hell-bent against it.

@imsneedandifeedinseed The greater danger of using nukes is on the side of the West, because they cannot win in Ukraine, conventionally. They don't have the resources to slug it out. Yes. Nothing lasts forever. But the current situation and the current trends strongly indicate that NATO is on the losing side of this war in Russia's back yard. The West needs to get its financial and manufacturing house in order before it can lord it over the rest of the world, and by the time the West does that, IF it even has the means and the will do DO that, it will be too late, by all indications. Western leaders strut around like they still hold all the cards, but all they hold are gimmicks. The core industrial/manufacturing capacity has been offshored. They're all in debt up to their eyeballs. Europe is an old man in a wheelchair who thinks making love to his wife every day will wear her out.
