It looks like Western leaders are trying to stretch Russia and its allies too thin. I don't think they have any real concept of thinly they are stretched and how unready they (we?) are for the kinds of fights they're picking. We can keep other nations from messing with us with our shock and awe, but we are in no position to fight everyone at the same time in their own back yard. We really shouldn't be fighting anyone or be engaged in proxy wars abroad. You want American protection? Put in for statehood. We take care of our own and we mind our own business.
