  12.  @marshmower  Chevy gives you a choice of an EV or a giant, $100,000 V8 SUV. I always felt like those old 4-cylinder rice burner pickups of the '70s - '00s were the most practical vehicles. Then they finally built 4-cylinder engines that could push them up steep hills without dying go the speed limit on the Interstate, and they immediately switched to 6-cylinder and up. With all kind of government-mandated garbage you don't need and don't want. And you should be able to fix them forever. And you should be able to fix everything on them. The auto industry was turned into a resource-wasting, anti-environment monster BY the government, which never says a word, not one regulation, about durability and repairability. Something like the old Toyota pickup or the Hilux sold around the world, without all the garbage on it. Motor, chassis, drive train, seats and good-sized bed. You could make it bulletproof for well under $20,000 and get a good used one for dirt cheap.

Millions of Democrats were red-pilled. Trump's support in 2020 was higher than 2016. It took universal mail-in and a lot of urban thuggery to tip the balance to Biden.

All they'd have to do is end the Cold-War rhetoric that both they and establishment Democrats echo, talk about LIMITED government and lower taxes. Basic stuff.   40. The main redeeming feature of the USA was its constitution, recognizing this fact, LIMITED the federal government, EXPLICITLY. And for 250 years, the politicians have systematically circumvented or overturned almost all limits on the role and scope of the federal government. Now we're like any nation in world history, no longer exceptional, only WORSE, because most of us still buy into our exceptionalism, which they've twisted to mean "We can impose our will, by force, on any nation or group or person we choose." Our elected officials behave like - and in some cases literally are - hereditary aristocracy. The Bush dynasty. Al Gore's daddy was a senator. The list goes on and on.

This trial, in an off-election year, could be a watershed moment, where millions just turn their backs on entrenched politicians of BOTH major parties. The Dems got PLENTY of RINOs to vote their way on "infrastructure" trillions.

They give the MAGA base just enough red meat to keep them coming back, but many of their commentators are just bad at making a case to any but the already-converted. Hannity and Watters are non-stop cringe fests, with the perfect hair and even a CIA lapel pin on Hannity.
