  1. The so-called 'liberals' are more repressed, judgemental, and faith-based than Bible-thumping conservatives of the '50s. The people who asserted their free speech rights to up-end he establishment in the '60s have become a far more authoritarian establishment than the one they replaced. They don't wear it well. I liked these neo-liberals, more, when they were on the outside, critiquing the establishment. Now, they consider free speech a threat to "our democracy," when in truth, free speech is only a threat to their fickle hegemony.
