  3. Our legislature hasn't abdicated its oversight role. It has created too many agencies, laws, and regulations to oversee more than a small fraction of Goliath Government, even if it tried. It doesn't matter what party is in power, so long as our government remains as big as it is. And I see no signs of it getting any smaller. Indeed, it's just growing bigger every day. NObody can oversee this dumpster fire. The federal government needs to dial itself back, and it never will. There's too much power, status and money in doing more "for" us.
