  1. We shared our hypergolic technology with the Soviets, whose rockets were continually blowing up in orbit, because of faulty ignition in retro rockets. They couldn't maneuver in space until we gave them the tech. Dad made a big, 6-inch binder entitled "Von Braun," subtitled "Hypergolicity," where he put together all the articles he could find in the late '60s and early '70s. Very cool stuff for a kid to hear about at age 8.
