@alexanderroche3928 Yes, and every major government institution and all its departments and sub-departments are petty fiefdoms. Unlike your traditional fiefdoms, however, they grow their domains by incompetence, because they get more resources and staff by making problems worse.

@StevenRecknagelMusic If you want chapter and verse on WW II, check out TIK channel, where such radical ideas as "Hitler was a socialist" are discussed. Hitler WAS a socialist, but you can't say that in hearing of a Democrat, who thinks national socialism is a right-wing phenomenon, when it's just a different brand name for all the things Democrats now stand for.

Advising the leaving of 2500 troops in Afghanistan is basically the military and intel leaders refusing to admit that the occupation of Afghanistan indefinitely was WRONG! The reason the withdrawal was a shit show was pure incompetence of intel and military leadership. They could've pulled out without stranding people and equipment. That's an entirely separate issue from the stability of the puppet government installed by the USA. "We can't leave until our conditions are met" is just a way of saying "We're never leaving." Nation-building was bullshit. I'll agree with the guest on THAT. What made the withdrawal such a fiasco was they didn't pull their vulnerable assets before withdrawing the troops. Milley talking crap about the 2500 troops in there indefinitely is just back-filling a failed policy. It's sheer incompetence all up and down the chain on the intel and the military. Milley's actually trying to make the case for the permanent occupation. They're all liars. They're all incompetent.

The loss of the equipment cost us money, but the equipment itself will be broken down and useless in about 6 weeks.

I couldn't agree more. It's always misdirection and distraction. They never ask the fundamental questions and on the rare occasions that they DO, they're never given straight answers and they accept those non-answers. I've been watching this kind of BS from everything and everyone "government" for 40 years, now. The only thing that changes is things get worse.

it's very subtle how they minimize the main points and make much of the irrelevancies, thereby preventing anything of substance actually being conveyed.
