  1. One problem I heard is that the wolves being "re"-introduced are from the far North. They're bigger and more vicious than the old timber wolves. They don't just kill enough cattle to survive. They'll wipe out your entire herd, and leave them to rot. They DON'T just kill enough to survive. They're programmed to kill if they can. Just wait until one winter, when a mega-pack of wolves lay siege to some Colorado town. In Idaho, farmers and ranchers have a saying "Shoot, bury and forget."
