  2. Survival instinct for stupid people. If you follow the herd, then you're safe, as long as you can run faster than the slowest member of the herd. No member of the zebra herd ever thinks the lion is going to get them, because they're never the last straggler. The last straggler was never the last straggler, before, until the final "Oh $hit!" moment.
